Adult, Child, & Infant CPR/AED and First Aid:
Skills covered: Recognizing a medical emergency, treat choking, rescue breathing, CPR (for adults, children, and infants), bandaging, injury prevention, and treating shock/ poisoning/sudden illness. Also included in the course is training to recognize victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Purpose: This course combines Adult CPR and First Aid Basics into one class.This course prepares individuals to recognize a medical emergency and respond to injuries and sudden illnesses that may arise.Skills covered include: treatment of choking, performing rescue breathing and CPR, bandage and splint, and treat shock/poison/burns, and prevent further injury. Also included in the course is training to recognize victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Certifications: Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED is valid for 2 years and First Aid is valid for 3 years.
